To rejoice with bride and groom pt1
I'm not quite sure, when the Mitzvah of rejoicing with bride and groom was
first mooted/set, that it was envisioned that it would quite go like this:
Brother tells me mutual friend is getting married; I ascertain email address; I
send 4 line email congratulating him. But send the 4 line email I did. Anyway, there will be more on rejoicing with bride and groom in the next couple of days.
Other notable occurences since last post: My boxes get shipped
tomorrow. They are all packed and ready (except my computer). I have to finish
filling out the forms and declarations. I have spoken to Justin; he is
halfway through my thesis and will be finished by tomorrow. We discussed who my
examiners were going to be. There was only one I asked not to be because of the
potential for perception of conflict of interest (and he didn't suggest my
soon-to-be boss, obviously). I have updated my computer, so that it is fully
functioning and updated when it leaves. I have done some form of exercise
every day this week. I have realised that I am badly out of conditioning as well
as fitness. My aim is to build both up as well as losing 10 or so kg
(without resorting to changing diet - I'm loathe to do this because if I keep up
the exercise levels, I will need the calories, anyway)
