The end of the year as we know it

Most of the last two weeks have been somewhat hectic. I did manage to get to the cricket with Dad and Keith on boxing day, and I did get out on to the water one day, when I went skiing on water that was too choppy for commonsense to suggest skiing, but it was my last chance for a while, and I went fishing.

For the rest of the time, I have been working with promising results. I have now sent Justin a draft of my thesis, and I'm just playing the waiting game. I'm sure it will get somewhat frustrating, but I can't complain too much yet. It certainly wouldn't do Justin any justice if I complain before he's had a chance to sit on it for a frustratingly long time.

Besides that, there hasn't been too much else of interest. I've signed a will leaving everything to Rebecca (is anyone surprised?)

Given that this is my first post of the year, I thought I might give a brief recap of last year. Just one senetence/month.

  • January - Endured 2 weeks in Brisbane working on a talk and trying to get results in Brisbane
  • February - Delivered talk - badly; Interviewed for job.
  • March - Went on honeymoon
  • April - Had my Purimspiele performed - pages of rhyming couplet
  • May - More hard work on thesis
  • June - started my blog
  • July - Conference and holiday in Cairns
  • August - Writing up
  • September - More writing up
  • October - Car and house sold
  • November - Vacated our house
  • December - Finished content and results of thesis
  • Its been a busy year

Please feel free to comment. I value dialogue and want other people's involvement. Please put your email address in. I will publish pretty much any comment which is made, but if you do not give your email address, I reserve the right not to publish your comment. I will not pass on or publish an email address (unless you specifically ask me to), but I may want to verify details, and cannot do this without an email address. Besides, its polite. Also, feel free to put in html tags. If you don't, I will stick them in, but I will just stick in simple ones. If you want anything more, you'll have to do it yourself.
