Things can't be all that bad...I've written the entries for my conference trip, but I probably won't post them until tomorrow. Meanwhile, I got home and was confronted by some ludicrous news. I know there's a tremendous irony that, had he been assessed for a Nobel Science Prize, his work wouldn't have been eligible for at least a good decade or so, but being assessed for peace rather than science, well, we've seen the results, haven't we. I've actually managed to get hold of the committee's discussions surrounding the recipient, and will post them below.
