I mentioned a few days ago that I was getting some spam to this site. So I've decided to fight back. I reckon I'll actually win the battle too (once I code it properly). I know a lot of serious programmers have got into the battle by designing forms of a Turing-style test. The fact that the tests keep getting more elaborate tells me that the web crawlers are getting smarter.
I don't actually want to discriminate, I just don't want to advertise someone else's stuff gratis (exceptions apply). And just because the web crawlers aren't real doesn't mean they don't have rights. So I don't want to keep them out. I want to understand how they think.
So from now on, comments will need to answer the question about the Rorschach test (click on any comments link and scroll down to the bottom of the page). Ok, until I work out how to make it compulsory, I will rely on an honour system, but at some point I will make it compulsory (as in submit won't work until you have written something).
And in case anyone is worried, I will keep a list of what is posted, but I won't publish anyone's answers alongside their name.
So what do you see in the picture?
My favourite procrastinations
The Head Heeb - Jonathan provides a balanced view on various Israeli and (former) colonial states in less developed regions of the world.
The Bladder - a sports satire site. Well worth a look.
